A meeting of minds

It is now widely acknowledged that around 75% of all mental health problems start before the age of 18. But unfortunately not many are able to recognise the early signs of mental-ill health in young people. With appropriate training and information those who work with young people such as; apprentices, school-children, university students etc. will be more able to provide the information and support needed to help.

When the chance arose to work with Bournemouth football club and other local football coaches we jumped at the opportunity.  Ouch and Bournemouth FC have been working together to provide short 2hr taster sessions and the full 2-day Youth mental health first aider course to local football coaches.
