Brewery Square Supports Force Cancer Charity

Brewery Square in Dorchester will be the starting point for the Princesshay Shopping Centre’s ABM team, who are challenging themselves to a 70 mile walk home to Exeter, raising money for Force Cancer Charity.

The Maddox Challenge will commence at 4pm on Thursday, July 12. On the day, the ABM employees, who provide facilities solutions across various shopping centres in the UK, will be presented with a donation cheque by the Brewery Square team.

Once the team have left Dorchester they will walk via Abbotsbury, West Bay, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth and Exmouth, before reaching their final destination at Princesshay in Exeter 24 hours later.

Force Cancer Charity is Princesshay’s charity of the year and has been involved with funding local research, purchasing equipment, and supporting people who have been affected by cancer.

The Princesshay ABM team are taking part in The Maddox Challenge in memory of former colleague, Paul Maddox, who recently lost his battle with cancer.

Charlotte Spracklen, centre manager at Brewery Square, said: “It is fantastic that we can help our friends at Princesshay, by sponsoring their fundraising activities. Force Cancer Charity has been helping people who have been affected by cancer for over 20 years, so it is a privilege for us to provide them with our support.

“We are delighted to welcome the Princesshay ABM team to Brewery Square and cheer them on from the start line. We wish them the best of luck and are look forward to seeing how much money they raise for this fantastic cause.”
