The first Dorset Tones, gig, due to take place on Friday 15th May at The Newtown Poole, has been postponed following advice from Public Health England regarding mass participation events.
Reggae Grammy Award winner Zion Train was to headline the first fundraising event, with all funds going towards Dorset’s disability charity, Diverse Abilities.
A new date is currently being looked into and all details will be released to event participants in due course.
Mark Powell, CEO of Diverse Abilities, commented: “We have taken the decision to postpone our first Dorset Tones, gig in line with the advice that has been issued from Public Health England. The health and safety of our attendees, volunteers, and staff is the utmost priority.
“All participants have been informed and we are working with our local stakeholders to rearrange a date for the event to take place in the future. Dorset Tones is an exciting new venture for Diverse Abilities and we are very much looking forward to future plans. Such events are vital to Diverse Abilities as they enable us to raise the vital funds that the charity requires in order to deliver a high level of care to the 1,600 children, adults and families that we support across the county.”
Participants already signed up do not need to do anything, all entry fees will simply be transferred once a new date is confirmed.
