Donation used for first aid training

Brendoncare is a registered charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for older people through care homes, close care facilities and social clubs across the South of England.

A recent donation was put towards First Aid Training and refreshments.

Maria Wallser, Brendoncare Clubs Training Manager, said, “We are so grateful for J.P. Morgan’s continued support for our clubs in Dorset. Brendoncare Clubs provide an ongoing programme of training events to our volunteers to enable them to run the clubs safely and effectively; this includes first aid which furnishes volunteers with the skills and knowledge necessary to deal with emergency medical situations, should any arise. The latest gift of £1,000 will ensure that all of our volunteers stay up to date with training. A group of volunteers recently enjoyed a first aid training session and further training sessions are planned.”

Nick Baverstock, a member of the J.P. Morgan Community Relations Committee went along to see one of the training sessions in action. “First Aid is such an important skill to have and we are delighted to have been able to help in this way.”

J.P. Morgan employs 4,000 people at its technology and operations centre in Bournemouth and has a strong history of community engagement.
