Double Gold win for The Italian Villa at Dorset Tourism Awards

The Italian Villa have struck gold yet again, winning double Gold Awards for “Business Tourism & Venue” and “Access & Inclusivity” at the annual Dorset Tourism Awards.

The multi award-winning venue were put through a gruelling judging process, including mystery visits. The judges congratulated The Italian Villa for excelling through the stages of judging and were particularly impressed by the continuous improvements made to the venue, the sheer number of people The Italian Villa brings into the county from across the UK through weddings, corporate, and private events, and for making the venue accessible to all.

The awards ceremony took place on 8th November at The Lighthouse, Poole, with over 270 audience members and was hosted by BBC Radio Solent Breakfast DJ, Steve Harris, along with entertainment by the “woman with 100 voices”, Debra Stephenson. The night celebrated the very best tourism businesses from across Dorset, with trophies being handed to winners from all corners of the county.

Tony Beales, managing director of The Italian Villa, commented:

“We are genuinely thrilled to have won these two Gold Awards. This has been a fantastic year for us, our team has worked incredibly hard and to be handed these awards is absolutely overwhelming. However, I believe it is a testament to the incredible team we have at The Italian Villa and I would like to thank everyone who has worked so hard to made winning these awards possible.”

Earlier in the month, Mr Beales’ catering firm, Beales Gourmet Catering (who manage The Italian Villa), also won the Best Caterer accolade at the Dorset Wedding Supplier Awards.
