23 years of celebrating and honouring Dorset business success

The Dorset Business Awards is the largest and most prestigious event of the year, honoring businesses across Dorset from different sectors for their efforts and achievements.

The awards are open to all businesses in Dorset each year and serve to celebrate and reward our county’s great businesses and their diversity while raising the profile of all our finalists, not just the winners, at a local and national level.

Over the last few year’s the awards have gone from strength to strength with top class entertainment, menu and production, and is something that the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry are extremely proud to organise. Though the Gala Dinner is one night in late November, the planning and management of the awards is a full 12 month operation for our small but dedicated team.

2016 ‘s awards were the best yet, with an Ice Kingdom theme we had comedienne, singer and actress, Debra Stephenson hosting with fabulous music from James Stead. It was a truly amazing evening with 11 winners, 33 finalists. We were so pleased to see over 133 entries from businesses all over Dorset.

A Year in the Making

As soon as the year’s awards are over we are straight on to the next one, reviewing and reflecting on how and what we can improve it for next year’s celebration. During the first few months of the year we are determining the theme, securing sponsorship and suppliers. If you would like to get involved in the next awards then get in touch with our events team as early as possible. From early summer we are ready to launch the awards, it is here that we are open for entries. This is open until September when we close the entries for the difficult judging process to begin. The finalists are announced in early October and tickets are made available for purchase. The 2017 Dorset Business Awards will be held on Thursday the 23rd of November.
