Festive fare as AFC Business turns nine

AFC Business has celebrated its ninth anniversary with a Christmas lunch at AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium.

More than 100 entrepreneurs, decision-makers and businesspeople sat down to turkey and all the trimmings in the club’s Champions Top Floor restaurant

AFC Business, the free to join business club with almost 1,800 members, is the engine for all the club’s commercial activities.

The Christmas lunch was hosted by AFC Bournemouth Player Liaison & Hospitality Host Jimmy Glass who presided over a festive quiz and charity fundraising activities.

AFC Business was launched in 2009 and gives members exclusive offers at AFC Bournemouth, access to events and is a great chance to meet local businesses.

Back then, the Cherries were in Division 2, Eddie Howe had just been appointed as manager and average match attendances were around 5,000.

AFC Bournemouth Commercial Director Rob Mitchell: “We have come a long way as a club in those nine years and AFC Business has been at the heart of everything we do in the business world throughout our rise to the Premier League.

“We are very much a community-minded club and our many business friends have stood beside us along this incredible journey. We thank everyone involved for their continued support.”

AFC Business club partners include Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce, Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dorset Mental Health Forum, Hill Osborne and Strategic Solutions.

The next event is the AFC Business breakfast networking meeting on Wednesday, January 9 at 7.30am at Vitality Stadium, hosted by Steve Bulley of Dorset Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
