Free honey on toast at Dolphin Centre kids’ club

Little Fins, the free popular kids’ club for pre-schoolers, returns on Wednesday August 21 at the Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole.

To celebrate the Dolphin’s 50th anniversary, the kids’ club will be providing free honey on toast for all pre-schoolers. This will be made with the Dolphin’s own honey made from the beehives on the centre’s own sustainable rooftop garden.

With a ‘future of shopping’ theme, kids will be able to design and personalise mini shopping bags to take home at the free club. There will be a cityscape backdrop, shooting stars and an astronaut peep-through for photo opportunities.

Children will also be able to enjoy soft play, interactive games and storytelling from 9.30 to 11.30am.
Little Fins is run by the award-winning Crafty Arty World and takes place in an area outside the Beales department store. Booking is not required to attend.

The shopping centre hosts Little Fins sessions for parents and children every third Wednesday of the month, through to October 2019. Each session includes pop-up soft play and mini art and craft sessions, provided within a comfortable and safe environment for children to play in.

John Grinnell, centre manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, commented: “We’re really looking forward to providing honey on toast for all the pre-schoolers that attend our August Little Fins event. Our bees have been hard at work this summer so it will be great to be able to share the honey and see the children enjoy it, while we celebrate 50 years of the Dolphin.

“Our two-hour kids’ club provides parents with the perfect opportunity to encourage their little ones to get creative and interact with others. Not to mention that it also enables local parents to get to know one another while their children play.”

The Dolphin is celebrating 50 years this month, since it officially opened in July 1969. As part of the celebrations this month, the Dolphin will be selling jars of honey with the label designed by Olly Miscandlon, aged 9, from Oakdale Junior School.
