Julia’s House Launches £50 Challenge

Julia’s House is asking local businesses to use their entrepreneurial skills to transform £50 into as much money as possible for the charity between March and May 2018.

The charity hopes that local businesses will be inspired to use their teamwork, skills and creative flair to make a real difference in their local community. Meridian Lifts, which is sponsoring the £50 Challenge, will provide businesses with the initial £50 investment to kick-start their fundraising project and then it’s up to the business teams to come up with innovative ways to generate as much money as possible before the deadline in May 2018.

The challenge will be launched on Wednesday 28th February, on the top floor of Barclay’s House, Poole, at 5.30pm until 7.30pm. Teams that sign up will be presented with a £50 note and will have a chance to meet other companies that are taking part. It is also an opportunity to find out more before deciding whether or not to take part.  A short film about Julia’s House and the challenge will be shown and refreshments served.

Linda Schofield-Green, Corporate and Events Manager at Julia’s House said: “The £50 Challenge is a fun way to join with other businesses to support our wonderful children and their families. We can’t wait to see what ideas the teams come up with.”

The challenge ends in May with an awards ceremony in June,  with prizes given for various achievements, including most money raised, most innovative fundraising idea and most valuable individual.
