Local Financial Firm Appoints New Director

Local financial services firm The Wilcox Young Partnership, an arm of The WAY Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Weldon as new CEO and Advisor in the firm.

He will head the business and lead a period of investment in new technology together with the introduction of new products and services, all aimed at improving the customer experience, building on the excellent work of the existing team. Dan’s past experience includes running his own firm, Astute Money Management, and working with several large banks and insurance companies, including local friendly society Liverpool Victoria. He will be looking forward to growing and expanding The Wilcox Young Partnership and developing relationships with old clients as well as winning new ones.

Dan is originally from Reading, Berkshire, but has been a Dorset resident since attending Bournemouth University in 1993. He graduated with a financial services degree in 1998 and worked in Financial Compliance for many years, travelling up and down the country as a Consultant. He became an IFA in 2008 and has been working with clients across Dorset from his central Bournemouth office for the past 6 years. As he joins The Wilcox Young Partnership, he will not only add valuable experience but he will also keep his second office location in Bournemouth for meeting clients from the east side of the county.

The Wilcox Young Partnership has been present in Dorchester for over 35 years and provides financial services to a range of clients in Dorset and the surrounding counties. As Independent Financial Advisers, they work alongside solicitors and accountants to offer a wide range of products and services, from protection, saving and investments to pensions and estate planning.

Dan will be joining a team of three other advisers at The Wilcox Young Partnership. The firm currently holds over 1,000 clients and has managed over £70 million in recent years. In addition to Dorchester and Bournemouth, the firm also has offices in Wimborne and Brighton.
