LUSH Bringing Free Workshops And Product Making Sessions To The Dolphin Shopping Centre

The Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole has partnered with LUSH to offer free workshops and product making sessions for members of the public.

The workshops will take place on Saturday July 14 and Sunday July 15 in the centre’s Eco Hub from 10am until 4pm.

Product making sessions will take place on both days at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. LUSH will be providing hand and arm massages for visitors at the Eco Hub, as well as providing black plant pots to encourage people to plant their own seeds to take away with them.

Facilitated by LUSH, the workshops aim to encourage interest in their vegetarian and cruelty free cosmetics and people will be given the opportunity to turn old bottle top lids into LUSH keyrings. There will also be recycling materials on display to encourage sustainability in the local area and to offer advice and information about the different types of recycled material used by LUSH.

John Grinnell, centre manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, commented: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome LUSH to the Eco Hub for a weekend of interactive and fun workshops. We’re huge advocates of the brand, which has its headquarters in Poole as well as a global reach.

“Our Eco Hub is all about encouraging sustainability through innovative and creative workshops and we know LUSH will deliver a great weekend for the public to join in with and enjoy.”

John Boyle, trainee manager at LUSH, commented: “We are so excited as a company to finally be able to bring a little bit of LUSH magic to the Dolphin Shopping Centre. Especially to able to share our knowledge on going Naked and how as a community we can cut down on plastics! We are honoured to be able to use the Eco Hub as a learning space.”

The Eco Hub is the shopping centre’s creative space which supports community projects and aims to encourage sustainability.

John Grinnell added: “The Eco Hub is a great opportunity for people to use the dedicated in-centre space for workshops and exhibitions. We encourage other project leaders to get in touch with us to find out more about using the free community space.”

The Eco Hub launched earlier this year as part of the Dolphin’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and is located in the lower mall of the centre. It is open during the centre’s regular opening hours and is free to use. Email info@dolphinshoppingcentre.co.uk with any booking enquiries.
