We welcome all types of businesses and organisations from both the private and public sector; from businesses with just one person working from home to large, international corporate companies. We represent all businesses regardless of shape or size. We also offer preferential rates for registered Charities and Schools.
What are the benefits of joining the Dorset Chamber?
We offer members the opportunity to have their say on key issues, raise their profile and ultimately grow their business. As Dorset’s largest business network, in addition to the free networking events included within the membership, we hold around 60 varied events at which members receive a booking discount. Members receive a listing in both our on-line and magazine directory. We offer PR opportunities via our website and potential inclusion in the Dorset Business Magazine. Members also have access to discounted advertising in newsletters as well as unique sponsorship opportunities. Free legal, Health & Safety and Employment helplines are available to members. Our training programme helps members develop their business skills and members will also receive our member *database and we offer hire of our boardroom for free. Members also have the opportunity to participate in policy related discussions with members and key stakeholders. We also offer a range of services to help you trade internationally and develop new markets.

Do members receive a discounted rate to attend events?
Yes, members of Dorset Chamber are entitled to attend our events at a reduced rate. Please see the Events & Training page for prices.
How many free events are included in my membership?
As part of your membership you have 16 complimentary places at our events to take advantage of. This includes 2 places at each of our Meet the Chamber events and our Simply Networking events.
Do members receive a discounted rate to attend events?
As with any investment, you get out of membership what you put in. But we aim to make it as easy as possible for you to achieve maximum benefit from your membership. By being a Chamber member you have a dedicated team just a phone call away on hand to help you with any problems which may arise. From a legal enquiry to customer sourcing, from international trade documentation to skills training and much, much more.
How long does membership last?
Membership runs for a twelve month period from the date on which you join. After this time you will be asked to renew. Membership for three years or more can be arranged, please speak to one of the membership team.
How is the Chamber related to other Chambers in the UK?
Dorset Chamber of Commerce is an accredited member of the British Chambers of Commerce Network (BCC) representing a national network of 52 Chambers. As such, the Chamber adheres to the accreditation standards that are laid down by the BCC in relation to engagement with the business community; membership; financial health; governance and management and the regional, national and international development of the Chamber network. Accreditation to the BCC provides access to national discounts and services as well as ensuring that the voice on business is heard at the highest levels within the UK and internationally.
Who in my business is covered in my membership?
All employees of your company will be covered by the membership and therefore eligible for discounts on events and training. They will also able to access the legal advice and health advice telephone support numbers.
Does my business have to be based in Dorset to be a member of the Chamber?
No, membership is open to businesses wherever they are based. If you are looking to do business in Dorset, we can help you.
