New appointment at The Wilcox Young Partnership as financial advice team continues to grow

Independent Financial Adviser David Woan has joined the team at Dorset-based Wilcox Young, marking their second new hire of the year.

Mr Woan joins Wilcox Young from his own independent financial planning practice, which he ran for 16 years as part of the Positive Solutions network. He also previously gained experience with Prudential and Canada Life. Mr Woan specialises in savings and investments, pensions, estate planning and protection.

He has also been the President of the Yeovil Chamber of Trade and Commerce since 2015, holding regular meetings with regional business leaders, regional Government and other stakeholders across Somerset and Dorset which has specifically given him an insight into the needs of business and business owners.

Outside of work, David is a keen musician, amateur photographer and has run two marathons.

 David Woan comments:

“After sixteen years running my own independent financial advice practice with the support of a UK-wide IFA network, I am now bringing my admin and support closer to home. Through Wilcox Young I look forward to delivering greater, tailored support and financial solutions for my clients, and a succession facility to deliver continuity with local, trusted IFAs for the future.”

Dan Weldon, Director at Wilcox Young, comments:

“David clearly brings with him a wealth of experience, having supported an extensive list of clients over the past decade and a half. Together with his in-depth of knowledge of the region’s business community, we are delighted to welcome him to the team.”
