The inaugural North Dorset Business Expo took place on the 26th June at the Royal Chase Hotel in Shaftesbury.
The event involved over 70 local businesses, offered 20 business exhibitions and four free business seminars kindly provided by Ellis Jones Solicitors, Action Coach, Chain Digital and Xero.
Daniel House, from DH Accounting the main sponsor and instigator of the event said “I have wanted to put on an event like this for some time now and I’m so pleased that it has finally come together and was so well received by visitors and exhibitors alike. Overall the feedback has been very positive, with businesses reporting new contacts made, interesting conversation had, and new leads created. We’ll definitely be planning a similar event for 2020!”
Anne Warner from Dorset Chamber commented “I had lots of conversations throughout the day, in fact I haven’t stopped talking! I really enjoyed the event and have got a couple of interesting leads to follow up too.”
Kate Brooks from Ellis Jones Solicitors said “there was a real buzz in the room and the event was well attended with a range of interesting businesses. I got to meet many new companies and I am confident that some strong relationships have been built!”
The event was further sponsored by Bipcom Voice and Data Solutions, Abacus Financial Options and Prodigy IT Solutions. Set up as a non profit making event, any surplus will be donated to local children’s cancer charity Teddy 20.
Debbie Frith from The Passionate PA, who helped to organise and managed the event on the day said “The feedback we received from visitors and exhibitors was really very positive, everybody took something away with them and we’ve been asked to come back next year and do it all again!”
