Redheat awarded Wates Innovation Partnership

Dorset Chamber member, Daylight Energy, is thrilled to have had their ultra-thin infrared heating product, Redheat, accepted by the Wates Group as a partner in their Sustainable Technology Platform.

Wates Group is leading the way in recognising sustainable technologies for construction and runs an annual innovation call to search out new technologies that will improve the sustainability of the services they offer.

Redheat, developed by Poole-based company Daylight Energy, successfully completed the innovation call for sustainable products 15 weeks ago. After being invited to present to Wates “Green Dragons Den” style panel less than a week ago, the team found out that they were successfully selected this morning. Being included as a partner to the Wates Sustainable Technology platform provides huge support to accelerate routes to market for suppliers and unlocks potential opportunities with Wates customers.

Wates Group is one of the UK’s leading privately-owned construction companies, working with over 10,000 supply chain operatives and partners. This award-winning organisation was ranked #35 in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 last year and was awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development in 2016. Wates Group has recently completely flagship projects such as the V&A Museum in Central London and refurbishment of the Southampton Civic Centre. They have also just received the go-ahead for the first phase of a £1bn plan to build more than 5,000 homes in Havering over the next 15 years.

Redheat was selected to partner with Wates due to its ability to reduce carbon emissions from heating homes and businesses. This ultra-thin, complete heating solution provides a route for clients to move award from using Gas to heat their homes and businesses, in line with current government objectives. The high efficiency and infrared properties of the Redheat film means that clients can reduce their heating bills by up to 80%, depending on their current heating solution. Redheat is also quick and easy to install on floors, walls and ceilings, under almost any material.
