Software Co Gardening and Cake Fundraising

Nicki Smith, Sales and Marketing Manager from the Ringwood based IT software solutions company, KFA Connect, returned to the gardens at Naomi House and Jacksplace near Winchester.

Where she and colleagues have spent a number of days helping with horticultural projects, including weeding pathways and stripping ivy from trees in the beautiful grounds of the hospice. Her visit was to present a cheque for £99 to Connor Phillips, one of the fundraising team involved with the charity’s recent ‘Great Big House Party’ event.

“The money was raised from donations as we enjoyed our own ‘Great Big Office Party’ in June. We brought in homemade and shop-bought cakes into the office in exchange for donations from the team. A really great excuse to eat cake for a good cause!” explained Nicki. “The charity do such brilliant work for the families they support and it is also a privilege to have the chance to catch a glimpse of the children and young adults enjoying the facilities and the incredible gardens they have at the hospice”.

KFA Connect is now planning what to can do next to help the charity and hope to arrange another gardening team in the near future. Anyone interested in supporting the dedicated charity can visit www.naomihouse.org.uk for more details.
