Somerley House Hosts Walk For Wards 2018

After the success of last year’s event, we are delighted to announce that this year’s Walk For Wards will be held at the prestigious Somerley House Estate on Saturday 13 October.

Adults and children alike can take part in this fun, family-friendly event, by simply choosing between a 1km, 5km or 10km walk through the beautiful lanes and fields of the 7,000 acre parkland estate, which is being exclusively opened up to participants of this event.

Walk For Wards raised over £17,000 for different wards across the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals in 2017, including the Stroke, Eye, Heart and Cancer Units and it is their aim to see if they can do even better this year. Each participant raised an average of £44, so why not see if you can beat this amount yourself and help out your local wards?

Karen Smith of the Bournemouth Hospital Charity Fundraising Team had this to say…

“This event is the perfect opportunity for people who want to raise money and support the hospital departments that mean most to them. Participants will receive a free lunch supplied by Rapid Relief and signing up is free!”

Walk For Wards is kindly sponsored by Homefield Grange, which means that every single penny that you raise will go directly towards you ward or department of choice.
