Students at Christchurch Food Festival

Catering students from Bournemouth & Poole College hosted a lunch for businesspeople on Christchurch Quay as part of the Christchurch Food Festival.

The VIP lunch took place on Friday 10 May as part of the celebrations to kick off the annual Christchurch Food Festival, which welcomes thousands of visitors to the town to enjoy a host of culinary delights.

The College’s catering team put together a special menu for invited supporters of the College and business people from Dorset and Hampshire to enjoy. Diane Grannell, Principal of the Bournemouth & Poole College, gave an introductory speech, before the catering and hospitality students were given the chance to showcase some of the skills that they have learnt as part of their studies.

Matt Butcher, Commercial Director at Bournemouth & Poole College, said: “It was the second time that we have hosted this fantastic event at the Christchurch Food Festival. We are proud to champion the hard work and skill of the students and we thought that this was the perfect place to show what they have learnt during their time at the College.”
