Poole based hosted telephony and cloud based communication solutions company TXI have been providing much needed communications solutions in temperatures of -24C.
The company’s ‘Installations’ division designs, builds, aligns and maintains large satellite communications antennae in some of the world’s harshest environments. At the time of going to press, TXI’s Founder and Managing Director Kevin Harrison is in Antarctica on one such project.
TXI’s customers include the likes of Arqiva, Sky and the BBC, all of whom rely on the company’s expertise and huge attention to detail. In sub-zero temperatures the antenna must be aligned as precisely as within a hundredth of an inch, to guarantee a good communication with the satellite 3000km away.
