The NMT (Nursery Management Today) Top 20 2019 awards returned once again to the panoramic 31st floor of the Barclays HQ in Canary Wharf on Thursday 20th June 2019.
Operations Director for Tops Day Nurseries, Amy Alderson, was awarded the prestigious title of ‘Most Influential Person in Childcare 2019’, an award in which she was nominated for by her peers.
NMT described Amy as an inspiring EYP and energetic Operations Director, who has worked successfully for Tops Day nurseries for 12 years. She has a natural skill for tackling under performance and through her sensitive but assertive nature is able to motivate under-performing teams to strive for better outcomes for children.
The purpose of the annual NMT Top 20 is to discover, recognise and reward the people and businesses who are most influential and inspiring within the whole childcare sector. Those voted in the top 10 had the privileged job of deciding, amongst themselves, a winner for the Most Influential Person in Childcare. Those on the panel included runners up Sally from Co-operative Childcare and Lyndsey from The Nest Nurseries; as well as a number of other well-worthy finalists who have each made an incredible impact within the sector. Amy was voted amongst her peers as the winner for the award and was presented a beautiful glass award and certificate.
In 2018, the award was presented to Tops Day Nurseries founder and Managing Director, Cheryl Hadland. In 2016, Diane Wycherley Senior Area Manager of Tops Day Nurseries was also shortlisted within the top 5 for the same award.
