BCP Council in Dolphin Eco Hub

The Dolphin Shopping Centre has partnered with BCP Council to support their ongoing challenge in recruiting domiciliary homecare workers in Poole.

The Council is using the shopping centre’s Eco Hub until Thursday September 26, with morning and afternoon drop-in sessions organised from 9am until 5pm, Mondays-Thursdays.

A variety of local care providers are hosting sessions at the Eco Hub to help drive recruitment of care staff in a vital industry. The sessions will allow care providers to profile their career opportunities and highlight the many benefits of working in care.

Cllr Lesley Dedman, Portfolio Holder for Adults and Health, BCP Council, commented:

“In Poole, we have a real challenge with recruiting paid domiciliary homecare workers and we’re very grateful to the Dolphin Shopping Centre for welcoming local care providers to its Eco Hub for the month.

“Careers in care are incredibly fulfilling. Every day, you’re helping someone in need, making their lives that little bit brighter and that little bit easier. We hope these drop-in sessions help to highlight that an occupation in care is extremely rewarding and an excellent career choice.”

John Grinnell, centre manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, commented: “We are delighted to welcome care providers to our Eco Hub, and to be able to continue to provide our shoppers with the opportunity to find out about the sorts of career opportunities in the care sector.”
