Bournemouth 7s Festival Team Grows

The Bournemouth 7s team is delighted to announce that James Croker has recently joined the company behind the UK’s favourite sport and music festival with responsibility for increasing engagement with the local business and sporting communities.

With more than 30,000 guests attending the festival each year, Bournemouth 7s has established itself as a major source of profile and revenue for the local area and, consequently, presents a unique opportunity for both local and national brands to promote themselves.

As Head of Partnerships, James will bring his extensive business network and sports industry expertise to the newly created role, which will sit alongside his current position as CEO of Bournemouth Rugby, an Official Partner of Bournemouth 7s and sister company Viper 10 Sportswear.

The tie-up between Diamond Sporting Group’s brands and Bournemouth Rugby demonstrates the positive effects of collaboration in local business and sport. Over the past couple of years, Bournemouth Rugby has undergone a commercial and structural revolution with a new, clearly defined business structure enabling the club to prosper both on and off the pitch.

Diamond Sporting Group’s owner Roger Woodall was delighted to welcome Croker on board, commenting:

“Over the past few years, Bournemouth 7s and Viper 10 Sportswear have developed a strong working relationship with Bournemouth Rugby as we strive to bring large sporting organisations in the conurbation together. James has been at the forefront of this partnership and I wanted to create a role for him which enabled us to maximise the Festival’s reach into the local business community.”

“James will focus his energies on creating long-lasting partnerships with local organisations providing them with the opportunity to engage with our ever-expanding festival audience over the May Bank Holiday Weekend. Companies will be able to benefit from onsite hospitality as well as digital marketing and brand awareness campaigns targeted at a truly engaged audience.”

James is excited about playing a key role in the future of Bournemouth 7s Festival,

“It was an honour to be invited to join the Diamond Sporting Group team. To be involved with such a well reputed and internationally recognised event is very exciting. Our area has such a vibrant business community and the approach of Bournemouth 7s in reaching out to all corners of that community demonstrates their pioneering and innovative approach. I can’t wait to see what impact I can make.”
