Datacenta Hosting takes on two new local employees

Even in the midst of the Coronavirus impact, Datacenta Hosting has hired two new employees at its data centre facility in the Dorset Innovation Park, near Wool.

The company’s intention was to hire locally and provide an entry to high tech roles in that area when it chose to build this additional site, which provides Internet services and data storage for small businesses and Government. These are precisely the systems that businesses need in order that people can work from home.

Gordon Fong, Managing Director commented “After 20 years in Bournemouth we made the decision to expand out into West Dorset. We have a longer-term vision of what it means to be a Dorset company, having footholds in the conurbation and rural areas. New and interesting challenges for sure and I can now appreciate first-hand the difficulties businesses can face away from the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole region.

As business owners that live in Dorset, who love where we live, we really wanted to hire locally and offer high-tech job opportunities to those that might otherwise not have access. Adverts were placed in the Wool convenience stores and shared to local Facebook groups. We had intended to take on one new member of staff, but are delighted to have offered two jobs to residents from Wool and Blandford.”
