Dolphin Shopping Centre invites shoppers to enjoy late night Christmas ‘Shop & Make’

The Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole is set to welcome shoppers to its new late night shopping initiative, Shop & Make, every Thursday in December during the lead up to Christmas.

The free event takes place from 5.30-9pm and encourages visitors to get creative during their late night shopping. Each week will have a different theme and activity, including:

  • Thursday December 6 – ‘Sustainable Wrapping Paper,’ where shoppers can create their own personalised wrapping paper using kraft paper, coloured inks and stamps.
  • Thursday December 13 – ‘Cotton Tea Towel Printing,’ where shoppers can print their own Christmas tea towels using coloured inks and stamps to take home and use for festive baking.
  • Thursday December 20 – ‘Ceramic Bauble Design,’ where shoppers can create their own festive ceramic baubles using porcelain pens.

Shop & Make had its launch night on Thursday November 29 at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, with a gingerbread decorating theme. The creative station is located outside Beales, in the main stretch of the shopping centre.

John Grinnell, centre manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, commented: “It’s never too early to start your Christmas shopping and we hope to attract even more shoppers this year with our new incentive.

“Our Shop & Make late night offering will enable you to add some personalised cheer to your Christmas. The Dolphin event team will be dressed in red hoodies and wearing reindeer antlers to welcome you and encourage everyone to get involved with our craft activities.”

The Dolphin Shopping Centre will extend its opening hours for late night Christmas shopping on Thursday December 6, 13 and 20. Free parking will be available on these evenings from 6-9pm at town centre car parks (multi-storey and surface).
