With the current situation in the UK and the world, sadly Wills have been pushed to the forefront of people’s minds.
People are understandably concerned about how, whilst locked down due to the coronavirus outbreak, they can give instructions for a Will and get that Will signed.
Our Wills team at Trethowans want to reassure you that despite working from home to comply with government advice, it is business as usual for us.
We can help you with your Will needs and can take instructions over a video link – Zoom, WhatsApp and Skype to name a few. For those without the technology or who have bad internet reception, we are finding more inventive ways such as taking instructions through your ground floor window or through car doors, or even outside in a field at a safe distance apart!
When it comes to signing your Will if you are unable to get witnesses, again we may be able to watch you sign through a window, or outdoors, and witness your signature that way!
We have also been assisting clients with lasting powers of attorney, tax planning, dealing with probate matters and are continuing to offer help and guidance to families facing issues around mental capacity.
