New Engineers Join At The Start Of 25th Anniversary

New team members have been welcomed by Directors at the Romsey based WFBA consulting civil and structural engineers. Nick Groves, one of founding Directors, and Technical Director Brian Morton congratulated Steve Nicholls and Tom Peeling on their successful appointments.

Steve Nicholls from Hythe joins as a graduate structural engineer having studied part time at Kingston, London whilst specialising on tower construction including the latest mobile phone masts as part of his 15 years’ experience.

Tom Peeling from Winchester has vital experience using CAD as a draughtsman for 13 years including at least 9 years’ experience with Revit, drawing software that supports the Building Information Modelling (BIM) process. This enables project designers to work collaboratively to create a single digital model and integrate different aspects of the design more effectively.  In this way, the risk of mistakes or discrepancies is reduced, and abortive costs minimized.

Nick Groves said that their skills are now adding to the teams’ capabilities, allowing them to work on multiple projects within many market sectors.

“As we enter our 25th year in business, we have a range of projects at various stages of completion, including those for Travelodge, McCarthy & Stone, a variety of higher education projects and some large commercial schemes including those for clients ABP and Polystar in Southampton,” says Nick Groves. “I’m sure Steve and Tom’s contribution will make 2020 a very special celebration year.”

WFBA expects its turnover to exceed £1.8 million this year and employs 32 people.  For additional information visit www.wfba.co.uk
