PKF Francis Clark Gear Up For Bike Week 2018

PKF Francis Clark’s New Milton office is buckling down to cycle 458 miles on a stationary bike, as part of Bike Week 2018.

Bike Week 2018 runs 9-17 of June and is delivered by Cycling UK. The week aims to promote the benefits that cycling can bring and encourages ‘everyday cycling for everyone’.

The team of 25 are taking the opportunity to support and raise funds for their chosen charity of the year, Oakhaven Hospice. It is one of the many activities that the accountancy and business advisory firm have been partaking in, as part of their contribution in the hospice’s £100 challenge, which many other local businesses are getting involved with.

The ‘journey’ will begin at the team’s office in New Milton, where they will be pedalling their way around to the firm’s seven other offices that are located across the South and the South West. The team will be travelling 458 miles at an average of 10mph and 4.5 hours per day over ten days and will be passing land marks such as Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Haynes Motor Museum, Exeter Airport and Poole Harbour.

Anne-Marie Gates, Partner at PKF Francis Clark said: “Oakhaven Hospice is a charity that is very close to our hearts in New Milton, and we know first-hand what a fantastic job they do, as they helped a member of our own team and his family through a very sad time.

“We are looking forward to putting ourselves up for the challenge and raising money for the cause. The bike ride is also a great way of bringing the team together”.

The team are welcoming visitors to come and cheer them on in their office that is located in the George Business Centre, Christchurch Road, New Milton, BH25 6QJ. Support can also be shown by donating to the office’s Just Giving page.
