Trethowans lawyer shortlisted for national award

Trethowans’ Dawn Gore is celebrating this week, after being shortlisted for a prestigious UK award.

Dawn is in contention as Best Family Law Paralegal in the National Paralegal Awards, being held at London’s famous Mayfair Hotel in March.

An extremely experienced paralegal and certified family law assistant, Dawn specialises in arrangements for children following parental separation or divorce. Also advising grandparents following the breakdown of a parental relationship, she is highly respected for her efforts to adopt a ‘no court’ approach wherever possible – with a view to achieving agreements and preserving co-parenting relationships.

“I’m thrilled to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award,” said Dawn. “There were so many skilled and experienced paralegal professionals in contention, I’m proud to have been recognised in this way. Working with families to help achieve the best possible outcome in often difficult circumstances is a challenge but also a privilege.”

Dawn is a Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals, the highest grade of membership for practising paralegals, and is recommended in the independent legal directory, Legal 500. Away from the office, she enjoys long countryside walks with her dog, travelling with her husband, and pursuing a growing hobby of landscape and wildlife photography.

Head of the family team at Trethowans, Andrew Mercer, added: “Dawn provides superb assistance and her attitude to this very delicate area of law is second to none. Her aim, always, is to make a very stressful experience as bearable as possible, with her friendly nature and valuable advice. On behalf of us all at Trethowans, I would like to congratulate Dawn on this wonderful achievement, and wish her success at the awards ceremony in London next month.”
