Two deals in as many days for Trethowans

Trethowans’ banking team in Bournemouth has overseen two high level deals in as many days.

The law firm acted for Lloyds Bank in relation to a group reorganisation of a large healthcare, logistics and contracting group and the subsequent sale of part of the business. Just 24 hours later it completed a substantial refinancing for CT Automotive Group Limited, an international manufacturing business in the automotive sector. By working closely with the company, Trethowans was able to negotiate the terms of the new facility agreement and the associated security and intercreditor arrangements within a challenging timescale.

Both transactions involved liaising with overseas counsel in multiple jurisdictions.

Emma Earp, partner and banking specialist at Trethowans, led on both deals and was delighted to work with these clients.  “We really enjoyed working with these clients to deliver a successful outcome on both matters” she said. “We bring a strong team ethos to the work that we do, which allows us to engage constructively on complex matters to ensure our clients’ requirements are met.”

Trethowans’ banking team continues to grow and Emma Earp heads up this area of the practice at the firm’s Bournemouth office, adding to the team’s existing resources in Southampton. She is one of a number of high-profile partners who are based at this office.

The Bournemouth office has expanded rapidly since its launch just over a year ago, building upon the success of the law firm across the South of England. The firm acts for significant businesses in the region and is on the panel of advisory firms for a number of the country’s largest clearing banks.
